Bihar: RJD worker close to Shahabuddin shot dead in Siwan

Minhaj Khan, a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) worker was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Sheikhpura village in Siwan, Bihar on Friday night.

Khan was close to former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, who is serving jail term for multiple murder cases in Tihar.

Initial reports say that there is a possibility that notorious local gangster Raja Khan and his partners were behind the killing of RJD worker. Probe has been initiated by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sanjeet Kumar Prabhat and Basantpur police.

A carbine, bomb and petrol were recovered by police near Khan’s house. In order to avoid unwelcome situations, police have been deployed in nearby areas.
