At least one person was killed and six others injured after the police allegedly opened fire at people protesting in Bihar’s Samastipur district over the murder of a medicine supplier on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the unidentified miscreants allegedly killed the medical supplier in Tajpur, according to reports.
After the incident, angry people set ablaze at least 20 vehicles and targeted a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).
They also blocked the National Highway.
An investigation has been ordered and senior local officials are probing the matter.
