In yet another tragic incident, three coaches of Darbhanga-Kolkata Express derailed near a railway crossing in Darbhanga Friday. Meanwhile, Railway officials rushed to the spot soon after the incident and are taking stock of the relief and rescue operations. However, no casualties have been reported into the incident so far.

The yard movement has been affected following the mishap.

Early in the week, another train loaded with goods derailed in Assam's Dima Hasao district while an empty EMU train which was being taken from Velachery station met an accident.
According to reports, the goods train was going towards Silchar from Lumding when 20 wagons derailed between Daotuhaja and Phiding railway station in the district.
Following the incident, all trains in the Lumding-Silchar hill section were cancelled until Tuesday.
