A 20-year-old woman abducted by three men in a car was saved by bikers after hearing her cry for help on Sunday late in Delhi.
Delhi police told the media that three men had abducted a girl in a car. “The girl cried for help from the running car when her abductors started molesting her.”
“Bikers having dinner at a road-side stall heard the victim’s cry for help. After a chase of a few kilometers they managed to force stop the car and rescued the girl,” said police.
Police added that two of the abductors were caught by the bikes after a minor scuffle. While, one of the accused managed to escape.
According to police, irate crowd on learning the incident attacked the abductors and torched their car.
One of the girl’s rescuers, Aman Goyal, told the media that the woman was in state of shock and in semi-conscious state when she was rescued.
The victim lodged a zero FIR at the Begampur police station which was later transferred to Mangolpuri police station as the abduction had taken place there.
“An FIR under the IPC sections 354B (use of criminal force on woman with intent to disrobe) and 362 (abduction) against the accused,” said DCP (outer) MN Tiwari.
The victim in her complaint told the police that she knew one of the accused who had offered her life. “Two other men were sitting in the car whom she did not identify. After moving sometime they started molesting me.”
