The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced its list of candidates who will contest the council poll seats from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi is one name among the chosen ones.
The list sees three candidates contesting from Bihar, namely Sushil Kumar Modi, former Union Minister Sanjay Paswan, and Mangal Pandey, a minister in the Nitish Kumar government, while from Uttar Pradesh, ten names have been put forward.
The ten names from Bihar include Mahendra Singh, Mohsin Raja, Sarojini Agarwal, Bukkal Nawab, Yashwant Singh, Jaiveer Singh, Vidhyasagar Sonkar, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Ashok Kataria, and Ashok Dhawan.
The candidature of Paswan is likely to fight over the RJD-Congress alliance with the BJP-JD(U) combination.

The MLCs will be elected by the MLAs and as per the party sources, all their candidates are likely to emerge victorious.
