Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Mathura, Hema Malini, doesn’t want to be a chief minister. But if she wanted, the BJP leader claimed, would not take more than a minute for her to become the chief minister.
The actor-turned-politician probably thinks that becoming a chief minister as easy as eating “halva” but is well aware of the work pressure that the job may bring.

“Main bana chahoon (chief minister) toh ek minute main ban sakti hoon but I don't like to be tied up. Mere jo free movements hain wo ruk jayenge (If I want to become a chief minister, it would not take a minute but I don’t like to be tied up. My free movements will be restricted),” PTI quoted the BJP leader as saying.
The 69-year-old leader made these tall claims in Rajasthan's Banswara. She was in the town to perform at a religious function.
Hema Malini made her debut in the parliament in 2003 when she was nominated to the Rajya Sabha during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. She, however, joined the BJP in 2004.
