Jayalalitha's illness: Swamy urges Rajnath to impose President's rule in TN; Rahul Gandhi visits her in hospital

New Delhi:

BJP leader Subramanian Swamywrote a letter to home minister Raj Nath Singh and urged to impose President’s rule in Tamil Nadu, due to indefinite hospitalization of state's Chief Minister Jayalalitha.

He urged Rajnath to impose article 356 of the constitution in the state and put legislative assembly in suspended animation and impose AFSPA in southern part of Tamil Nadu  for a period of six months till Jayalalitha resumes office.

Meanwhile Rahul Gandhi reached Chennai and visited Jayalalitha at Apollo Hospital.
