While the entire nation is protesting against the skyrocketing fuel prices, a Rajasthan BJP minister has come up with an ultimate “solution” to tackle the rising petrol and diesel prices. Rajkumar Rinwa, who handles the pilgrim sites portfolio in Vasundhara Raje’s cabinet, has advised people to lower their expenditure.
"Fuel prices are tied to crude oil prices in the world market.... People don't understand that the crude prices are high and they should lower other expenses," Rinwa told reporters in Jaipur.

The BJP MLA’s unbeatable solution came on a day when 21 Opposition parties, including the Congress, held a nationwide shutdown against the steep rise in fuel prices and historic depreciation of the Indian rupee.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Raje, in what it looked like a pre-poll sop bonanza, had announced a reduction in the value-added tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by 4 per cent. The reduction in the VAT slashed the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.5 per litre in the state.
