Days after defeating the no-confidence motion in the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, the ruling BJP on Tuesday held a Parliamentary party meeting at Parliament House in New Delhi.
BJP president Amit Shah along with other senior leaders Dharmendra Pradhan, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari and Ananth Kumar reached the Parliament library building early Tuesday morning.
To kickstart the BJP parliamentary meeting, BJP MPs honoured Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a garland and credited his leadership quality over the years. Party chief Amit Shah expressed his confidence over the BJP-led Union government and applauded PM Modi while giving him a laddu.

This is the first meeting of the BJP Parliamentary party during the Monsoon session and expected to discuss several key issues like the Triple Talaq Bill, OBC Commission Bill and the Assam NRC, the new political debate across India.
The meeting will also give light to the controversial provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act as the Lok Jansjhakti Party, the key BJP ally in Bihar has called a nation-wide strike on August 9 seeking the Centre's response regarding the same.
Earlier, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag hinted a massive protest all over the country in case a new Bill or Ordnance is not made to strengthen the provisions of the SC/ST Act that was passed in 1989.
