BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday launched a scathing attack against the Opposition for creating unrest and ruckus in the country during Monday’s Bharat Bandh called to protest alleged “dilution” of SC-ST Act by Supreme Court.
Shah held the Opposition solely responsible for the death of 10 people across the country.
“We had announced that we will file a review petition, then why did the Congress and other opposition parties call for Bharat Bandh,” Shah said during a rally in Odisha’s Bhanipatna.
“The Congress and Opposition are solely responsible for the death of 10 people and the injureds,” Shah added.
During the rally, Shah asserted that he wanted to smash the rumours that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government removing the reservation policy.
“Government will neither remove reservation or will allow anyone to end it. The party will firmly stick to the principles of the Constitution framed by BR Ambedkar,” Shah added.
Shah also quoting Modi said, “We have full faith in the Indian Constitution. There will be no change in the reservation policy. The BJP will also not allow anyone to change the policy.”
