Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated new office of the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Sunday moving the party’s base from 11, Ashoka Road to 6, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg in Delhi.
The new multi-storey building is spread across a sprawling two-acres and has 70 rooms in its three blocks.
The foundation of the new office was laid by PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah in 2016 and the construction work completed before its deadline.
“I want to thank Amit Bhai and his entire team, that worked hard to complete the work on the BJP HQ within the desired time frame," PM Modi said at the inauguration ceremony.
PM Modi along with along with BJP veteran LK Advani, inaugurated the new building. BJP president Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Murli Manohar Joshi and other senior leaders were also present during the inauguration of party's new office.
There are blocks in the new building and the main block has 7 floors while other two blocks have 3 floors each.
