New Delhi:

After inauguration of Lucknow Metro train, political parties are trying to take credit for it. Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the members of Metro team.

He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for facilitating quick funds for the project. He devoted te Metro service to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. 

On the other hand, Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav took a potshot at Twitter, saying “Engine had already left as the bogies have to follow”. Akhilesh was not invited for inauguration ceremony.

Congress leader Rajiv Shukla also tweeted in favour of Akhilesh, saying that the government should invite Akhilesh too who has made it possible.
