Minister of State for Prime Minister Office Dr Jitendra Singh on Saturday informed that Bhartiya Janata Party’s state executive meet will be held in J&K’s capital Srinagar for the first time. He said that it will be milestone for BJP.
"For the first time, BJP's state executive meeting will be held in Srinagar next. Its a milestone," said Dr Jitendra Singh, MoS PMO.
The saffron party is expected to increase its foothold in the troubled Kashmir valley with the first national executive meeting.
The announcement of the meeting has come just after the government expressed desire to hold sustainable talks with all stakeholders of the valley.
“We have decided that a sustained dialogue process will be started in Kashmir and for that purpose former IB chief Dineshwar Sharma has been appointed. He is well versed with the issues in Kashmir and is free to hold talks with all groups and political parties necessary,” Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had said.
