Madhya Pradesh Congress unit taking jibe on Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) much hyped program ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ hours after party president Amit Shah had lunch at it's tribal workers house in Bhopal said, “The house does not have a toilet.”
The allegations were made by the Madhya Pradesh congress unit hours after Shah along with MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and state party president Nankumar Chauhan had daal-baati at Kamal Singh Uike’s resident in Sevania-Gaud area.
Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson KK Mishra told the PTI that Visit of Shah to Uike’s house has barred Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s much hyped ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.’
Amit Singh, leader of opposition in the MP Assembly said, “Shah today got the first hand feel of the hollow development in the state at the Uike’s house, which does not have a toilet.”
Singh further added that Shah was all in praise of Madhya Pradesh chief minister for doing an excellent job in all fields including ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
“He might have learnt the ground reality today,” added Singh.
According to people who know Uike told the PTI that the tribal leaders family consists of nine members and all go out to address the nature’s call.
The acquaintance also added that Uike had filed an application to build a toilet with the Bhopal Municipal Corporation a few months back.
Additional municipal commissioer and corporation’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in-charge MP rushed to Uike’s residence to verify if the claims made by Congress leaders.
BJP media-in-charge said, “A toilet will be soon constructed in Uike’s residence soon.”
