Amid bombarding allegations from several leaders over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's educational qualification, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday uploaded his college degrees and fielded its top leaders, Amit Shah and Arun Jaitley, for its fightback.
"Arvind Kejriwal has been spreading lies about the Prime Minister's credentials. He has tried to defame the PM. He should apologise?" said BJP chief Amit Shah.
"It is public discourse at its lowest ever. This from a political party whose leaders are being prosecuted and investigated," added union minister Arun Jaitley.
Coming out strongly against it, Aam Aadmi Party's Ashutosh Kumar said the degrees uploaded are forged as the passing year on marksheet and degrees are different.
A couple of days back, claims were made that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s degree from the Delhi University are fake.
A request was also made to the University to to put up details of PM Modi's degree on its website for the public and make sure that the degree documents were "safe", hinting at attempts to "destroy" records.
It was also alleged that no Narendra Damodar Modi ever passed out of the university in 1978 as the PM had professed in his 2014 poll papers.
