The Russian born self harm Blue Whale Challenge game that has induced many school going children all across the world to take their own lives is now showing impact in Chhattisgarh. 

At least 25,000 in Jashpur and more than 15,000 in Durg and Bhilai have searched for the game in Google in the past Seven days.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, on Thursday 30 children from a government high school of Maoist hit Dantewada, has been found with sharp objects like blades trying to carve out whale like shape on their arms. 

This incident itself bears testimony about the far reaching effects of the deadly game even to the remote areas of India. The students were playing a village adaptation of the game. 

As per Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abhishek Pallav, the children were playing the game to solve their personal problems and that the game was playing as some sort of faith heeler.

The students are sent for counselling. Blue Whale was first developed in Russia and has by far claimed many lives all across the world. In India the impact was felt when a 19 year old student hang himself in Madurai as part of the game. 

In the Blue Whale challenge game the player needs to perform 50 different tasks which forms part of the game and include dangerous self harming tasks like cutting your own lips. 

The game tends to engross the mind of the palyer in such a way that they don't hesitate to perform these dangerous life taking tasks. The alleged creator of the game Phillip Budeikin is in a prison in Russia.
