The menace of the online suicide game called the 'Blue Whale Challenge', has reached the doors of the Supreme Court. The apex court has directed the Central government to set up an expert panel to tackle the menace.Â
The game that has claimed many lives in rest of the world has had its impact in India as well.Â
As a result of this, cases and petitions have been lodged by several people in various High Courts. Keeping this in view, the top court has asked the respective High Courts to stop all pending cases.
The apex court has also directed the Centre to set up an expert committee which would suggest remedial measures to tackle the problems arising from the game.
