Bollywood celeb hairstylist Brendon arrested under POCSO Act

Bollywood celeb hairstylist, Brendon Allister De Gee has been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old boy. The 42-year-old South African National was taken into custody by the Mumbai police on Friday. The police revealed that the accused was having the sexual relationship with the minor, whom he met through a dating app.

Brendon was working on the set of one of Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming films in Maharashtra’s Raigad district when the police arrested him. The South African National has been lodged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and will remain in police custody till October 3.

The minor had joined the dating app by filling out false age on his profile. His profile even mentioned that the boy is interested in men. The police said the boy was in a physical relationship with many other men whom he met through the app.

The incident surfaced when the minor’s mother caught him with an unknown man in his bedroom. On probing more, the boy confessed to his mother of having sexual relations with multiple men. Later, the mother of this 16-year-old filed a complaint against all involved.

There have been eight arrests in the case so far, including a school teacher and a businessman, who were arrested in July.
