Bomb threat on Mumbai-bound Jet Airways flight, plane departs after inspection

A Mumbai-bound Jet Airways flight was stopped by airport authorities in Ahmedabad after a cabin cleaner found a paper written “Bomb” under seat 24 A of the plane. The passengers were evacuated instantly to the safety and plane has been moved into isolated area of the airport for thorough inspection.

After few minutes Jet Airways released a statement mentioning that no bomb has been found on the plane. "Aircraft was thoroughly inspected by security agencies&flight with 125 passengers and 6 crew has now been cleared for departure," mentioned Jet Airways in its statement. A few days back as many as 127 passengers on board Jet Airways B737-900 aircraft from Delhi had a narrow escape when its main landing gear collapsed while taxiing after it landed at the Chhtrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on March 3. The committee, headed by AAIB's director of Aircraft Engineering Department Amit Gupta, has been asked to submit its report within the six months, a government notification said.
