Pakistani troops on Sunday night again violated ceasefire in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said. The Indian Army is retaliating to the Pakistani firing which took place at 09.30 pm.

On November 12, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.

The shelling from across the border started in the Shahpur sector around 3.15 pm, prompting strong retaliation by the Indian Army, they said. The officials said the cross-border firing was going on from both the sides when last reports were received. However, there was no report of any casualty in the Pakistani shelling so far, they said.

On November 8, a soldier was killed as Pakistan violated ceasefire along the LoC in Poonch district. Pakistan fired at forward posts along the LoC around 2.30 am in Krishnaghati sector in Poonch, in which the Army personnel was killed. Indian troops carried out retaliatory firing, he added.
