Following this, the Delhi police reached the spot and arrested him.

The incident came days after Indian Air Force conducted areal strikes on a major JeM camp in Pakistan, killing over 300 terrorists. Following the IAF strike, intelligence agencies have issued an alert and security at all the military installations across the country was increased. Indian Air Force had also put on high alert all air defence systems along the international border and LoC to respond to any possible action by Pakistan Air Force.

The security of military establishment has been a challenge for India with several incidents of trespassing taken place in the past.
