Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed 30 million followers on photo sharing platform Instagram, becoming the only world leader to achieve this feat, Amit Malviya, in-charge of BJP's national information and technology, tweeted on Sunday. Modi is the most followed world leader on Instagram ahead of US President Donald Trump and former US president Barack Obama.

Modi, who had joined Instagram on November 4, 2014, has shared 350 posts so far. In fact, Modi became the most followed world leader on Instagram in 2018. And, a photo he posted of his meeting with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma after their wedding was the most liked photo posted by a world leader that year.
Pope Francis, Queen Rania of Jordan, and the Royal Family of the United Kingdom are some of the other Instagram accounts that figure in the list of the ten most followed world leaders. Apart from being the most followed, PM Modi can also boast of having the most liked photos among the world's leaders.
