There will be museum for all former Indian Prime Ministers: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday announced that the government will build a grand museum which will be dedicated to all former prime ministers in Delhi. Modi also invited families members of all former prime ministers to share aspects of their lives to help establish the museum.

"There will be a museum for all former Prime Ministers who have served our nation. I invite their families to share aspects of the lives of former PMs be it Charan Singh Ji, Deve Gowda Ji, IK Gujral Ji and Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji: @narendramodi," the PMO tweeted.

He also took a dig at the Congress, saying attempt was made to erase their memories as part of a strategy. "But now I have decided that a dedicated museum of all former prime ministers will be established in Delhi," he said while speaking at an event to release a book on former prime minister Chandra Shekhar, written by Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh.

Modi urged family members of the former prime ministers to share all things related to them for this museum.

"I first met Chandra Shekhar Ji in 1977. I met him at the Delhi airport, I was travelling with Bhairon Singh Shekhawat Ji. The two leaders enjoyed a close bond despite their different political ideologies," Modi added.
