A CRPF jawan allegedly shot dead three of his colleagues from his service rifle and later shot himself after an altercation at their camp in Jammu’s Udhampur on Wednesday evening. The alleged fratricide incident happened at around 10 pm when constable Ajit Kumar killed head constable Pokarmal, resident of JhunJhunu in Rajasthan, head constable Yogender Sharma, resident of Maujpur in Delhi and head constable Umeed Singh, resident of  Rewari in Haryana, at the 187th battalion camp of the force in Udhampur.
The officials said while three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men were killed in the firing, Kumar also shot himself and is critical in a hospital. The incident is said to be triggered after the jawans had an altercation. Senior CRPF and police officials have rushed to the spot, officials said.
