IG BSF, DK Upadhyay briefed the media on the issue in Jammu
“It is a sensitive matter for us, we will probe the whole matter and take actions accordingly. I can agree that taste of the food might not be very great but have never received any complaint from jawans regarding the same. IAgree that taste isn't good because in winters there is tinned and dehydrated food but jawans don't complain”, said IG BSF, DK Upadhyay on BSF Jawan's video.
“Can't comment on the allegations as yet, enquiry has been ordered. If any lapses found strict action will be taken. He indulged in in disciplinary actions, was to be court-martialed in 2010, considering his family he wasn't dismissed. He will be shifted to a different headquarter so that no one can pressurise him and fair enquiry can be held. DIG level officers who have visited the camp in past have never received any complaint regarding allegations levelled in the video. DIG had visited the location & had asked everyone including him but no complaint were received;intentions were diff probably", Upadhyay added.
