The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Wednesday expelled its leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui and his son Afzal from party for anti-party activities.

While addressing a press conference, BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra said the party has found Siddqui had benami properties in Badayun and western Uttar Pradesh.

Mishra said that Siddiqui was also accused of accepting money from people in return of work. Last month, BSP supremo Mayawati had removed Siddiqui as Uttar Pradesh party chief, and later appointed him chief as Madhya Pradesh.

While reacting to AAP government's demonstration on EVM in Delhi assembly, Mishra said it was a serious issue and they were the one who had raised the issue of EVM hacking. 

The party had witnessed major defeat in the Uttar Pradesh state assembly polls where party got only 19 seats out of 403.
