The body of an Army soldier Aurangzeb, who was earlier abducted by militants from Pulwama district, has been found at Gusoo on Thursday.
The bullet-ridden body of abducted Army man, identified as Aurangzeb, a rifleman with the 44 Rashtriya Rifles was found after an extensive search operation.
Aurangzeb was abducted by terrorists while he was in his vehicle near Kalampora. Originally a resident of Pooch, Aurangzeb was traveling back home.
As per reports, a total of eleven BSF troops have been killed in cross-border firing incidents along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir till date in 2018, the highest figure for the border force in the last five years.
The attacks are happening at a time when the government is working on a possible extension of the suspension of combat operations, that were announced for the month of Ramzan.
