Modi cabinet reshuffle live: Disgruntled Shiv Sena threatens to break alliance with BJP

The swearing-in ceremony of nine new ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet takes place at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday. This is the third cabinet reshuffle since Modi took oath as Prime Minister in 2014.

Four junior ministers—Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal were elevated to the Cabinet rank and nine fresh faces inducted as Ministers of State in a major rejig of his team by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

Disgruntled Shiv Sena termed the rejig as BJP's own reshuffle and not of NDA. JD(U) leader KC Tyagi has also termed the reshuffle as BJP's internal matter and refused to comment on it.

Main Opposition Congress said the reshuffle would do no good to the government as it's image has already tarnished and it would tough to rebuild it again.
