Punjab Congress senior leader Captain Amarinder Singh on Saturday said that he wants to fight against his nemesis Badal from the Patiala seat in the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to media on Saturday, former Punjab chief minister Captain Singh said that he has decided to fight Punjab Elections 2017 from Lambi, however, the former chief minister did not seem to have abandoned the intention to settle old score with his nemesis Prakash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal.
“Have to defeat Parkash and Sukbhir Badal… they have done enough damage to Punjab. Will fight Patiala & Lambi if my high command wants, so that we defeat Badal… I've already talked with Cong Pres and VP on this,” Capt Amarinder said.
Captain also confirmed that former BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu has joined Congress and will be contesting upcoming assembly elections from Amritsar East seat.
“100 per cent (sure) he (Navjot Singh Sidhu) is in the Congress, and as Navjot Kaur has announced that he is a candidate from Amritsar East,” said Amrinder Singh on Saturday during a press conference.
