A special CBI court on Wednesday shall pronounce its verdict in a fodder scam case in which two former Chief Ministers of Bihar - Lalu Yadav and Jagannth Mishra are accused.
Special court judge S.S. Prasad will deliver judgment in the case, which is related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 33.67 crore from Chaibasa treasury in 1992-1993.
Along with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu, former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra’s fate too will be decided by the court of special CBI judge SS Prasad in Ranchi.
The RJD chief, is at present lodged in the Birsa Munda jail in Ranchi after being convicted on December 23 in a case pertaining to embezzlement of over Rs. 85 lakh from the Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994.
Mishra, who was Lalu’s co-accused in the Deoghar scam as well was let off along with six others while a total of 17 accused including Lalu were pronounced guilty.
