The CBSE Class X and Class XII Board examinations normally began today. The exam was earlier postponed as the dates of the elections were clashing with the dates examination dates.
A total of 16.67 lakh candidates from 16,354 schools across the country will appear for Class X exam, while around 10.98 lakh candidates from 10,677 schools will sit for the Class XII exams.
According to the reports around Fifty-eight examination centres have been set up in some Gulf countries and six in various other countries.
The CBSE has a three-tier arrangement for surprise checking- flying squads from the Board itself, Delhi's Directorate of Education (DoE) and those from outside Delhi.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched CBSE 'Exam Locator' app to help all board students to locate their examination centre easily.
CBSE 'Exam Locator' app features:

- Students can also route map to the center
- The app has been named 'Exam Locator'
- On the basis of Roll no students can quickly find the CBSE board exam centre
