CBSE Class 10 results: Here is how to calculate your CGPA!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10^th results were announced on Saturday. The results are in the form of Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA). Though CGPA is written on the report card, some students wish to calculate it themselves.

CGPA is the average of Grade Points obtained in all the subjects excluding the sixth additional subject as per the scheme of the exam.

Here is a detailed process of how to calculate CGPA:

• Add your grade points in the main five subjects, and then divide it by 5.
• For example, if your grade points for the five main subjects are:
• Subject 1: 5; Subject 2: 6; Subject 3: 5; Subject 4: 4; and Subject 5: 9
• Step 1: Add the grade points: 5+6+5+4+9 = 29
• Step 2: Divide it by 5
• 29/5 = 5.8

So, your CGPA is 5.8.
