The re-examination for the Class-XII economics paper will be held on April 25 and that of Class-X mathematics paper is likely to be held in July, the Union government announced on Friday.

"Re-examination of Class 12th exam will be held on April 25," Secretary Education Anil Swarup said.

The secretary education said that for Class-X they have found in the preliminary probe that the leaks were restricted in Delhi and Haryana.

"If the re-examination for class 10 will happen, then the exam will be held only in the two states and it will be conducted in July," Swarup added.

The secretary education further added that the re-examination of class 10th mathematics paper will be taken within 15 days.

"We will arrest the persons behind the leak soon,"  Swarup added.

The Mathematics and Economics exams were held on March 28 and March 26 respectively. The CBSE chairperson Anita Karwal had received an email alerting her about the Class 10 Mathematics paper leak a day before the exam.

The board on Wednesday had announced to conduct a re-examination for class 10 mathematics and class 12 economics paper. Soon after the announcement CBSE students in large numbers took to the streets to protest the re-scheduling across the country .
