Before stalking Varnika Kundu on August 4 in Chandigarh, Vikas Barala had bought alcohol. This was validated with a CCTV footage which clearly shows Vikas and Ashish buying alcohol from a store in Sector 9. The CCTV footage can be used as an evidence.
The CCTV footage supports Varnika’s complaint in which she said that Vikas was drunk while stalking her.
Earlier on Thursday, a Chandigarh court sent Vikas Barala and other accused to two days of police custody in connection with stalking case.
The Chandigarh police produced Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala, before the court with other accused, Ashish.
According to sources, accused Vikas Barala has accepted during interrogation that he was stalking Varnika Kundu’s car.
On Wednesday, the police decided to press attempt to kidnap charge against Vikas Barala and another person, who had allegedly stalked and tried to abduct the daughter of an IAS officer, officials had said.
Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala, and the other accused were arrested by the police.
