Chandigarh Police after exploring footages of CCTV cameras have found clips showing a white SUV chasing DJ Varnika Kundu’s black car that seems to confirm her account of being stalked on the streets of Chandigarh and abduction attempt allegedly by the Haryana BJP chief Subhash Barala’s son.

The Chiandigarh police have released a part of the clip that shows a white SUV chasing the DJ's car.

Director General of Police (DGP) Tejinder Singh Luthra told the Indian Express that they have procured footage establishing that the victim was being chanses by accused in a Tata Safari.

The DGP said, “I cannot divulge the sources of the footage.”

On Monday it was reported that five out of seven CCTV cameras on the stretch of road in which Kundu was chased on the Friday night, allegedly by the Barala’s son and his friend Ashish Kumar, were not functioning.

Soon after the incident the victim and her family had detailed the incident on Facebook.

The IAS officer’s daughter had alleged Barala and his friend of stalking and trying to kidnap her. The two accused were arrested but now are out on bail.

The Haryana opposition and several senior BJP leaders have demanded for Barala’s resignation from his post on moral ground.
