The Chandigarh police on Wednesday summoned Haryana BJP President Subhash Barala’s son Vikas Barala in connection with stalking case.
The police asked Barala to reach at Sector-26 police station at 11 am for investigation in the matter.
Tejinder Luthra, Chandigarh DGP, said that additional evidence is welcome but they now have sufficient CCTV footage.
Luthra said everything under the sun and effort will be done to ensure justice.
The DGP said,”Vikas Barala refused to accept the notice, therefore, we have pasted the notice on the wall of his residence.”
Krishan Kumar, Subhash Barala's PA said that they have received police notice for Vikas, but he did not have details.
It is said that Vikas Barala refused to take summon when the police approached him early morning. Later, the police officials pasted the summon at the gate of his residence.

On Tuesday, Haryana BJP president Subhash Barala broke his silence, saying that the victim (Varnika Kundu) is like his daughter and there was no pressure from his side to influence the investigation.

While talking to ANI, Barala said that law must take its own course in the matter. He said BJP is a party which believes in women's rights and freedom.
Senior BJP leader Anil Jain, in-charge of the party’s Haryana affairs, had ruled out the resignation of Barala following the arrest of his son.
