A month after Haryana BJP chief’s son Vikas Barala was arrested for stalking a daughter of an IAS officer, the Haryana government has transferred the bureaucrat.
Virender Kundu, speaking to CNN-News18, stated the transfer as a routine transfer. While, the BJP-led Haryana government did not mention any reasons for the transfer.
The IAS officer added that he is looking forward at his new assignment at the Science and Technology department.
Kundu said “I have earlier worked with the department during the Chautala regime and I am familiar with its ways. There is much to be done here.”
Kundu handling state tourism department has been appointed as the new additional chief secretary of the Science and Technology department.
The bureaucrats 29-year-old daughter had alleged in early August that she was followed by Vikas and his friend on August 4 midnight while she was returning home. According to the complaint Barala’s SUV had pulled up close to her car several times in a bid to block her way and in an attempt to enter her car.
In the complaint it was also also mentioned that the duo accused had chased the IAS officer’s daughter for at least seven kilometers.
The IAS officer’s daughter later narrated her ordeal in a Facebook post that created an outbreak of anger across the nation.
