In yet another tragic incident, seven jawans were killed and one other injured in an IED blast in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Sunday.
"The search operation is being held by security forces. The blast could be of high intensity, but the exact details will come after the investigation," ANI quoted Sunder Raj P, DIG Anti-Naxal Operation on Dantewada attack.
The blast, targeting a police vehicle, took place at around 11 am on Sunday. The jawans from the Chhattisgarh Armed Force and the District Force were on their way from Cholnar to Kirandul. The CRPF personnel have rushed to Dantewada to conduct the rescue operation in the spot.

# 12:15 PM: Chhattisgarh: 3 jawans of Chhattisgarh Armed Force and 2 jawans of District Force killed and 2 jawans injured in an IED blast on a police vehicle in Dantewada's Cholnar Village.
Earlier in April, security forces gunned down eight Maoists, including five women, in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district. This action was followed by another major operation in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli, which left 39 rebels dead.
