An engine and three coaches of a goods train carrying limestone derailed on Saturday night near Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. Despite affecting traffic and cancellation of other local trains, no one was injured in the incident, an official said.
The goods train was coming from Pendra Road Railway Station and the derailment occurred at Sarbahara Railway Station, Bilaspur Zone Chief Public Relations Officer PC Tripathi said.
Nobody has been injured, though some trains have been affected following the incident. A team has been rushed from Shahdol to restore traffic, he said.
Meanwhile, traffic on the main line is unaffected and the loco-pilot & his assistant are safe, he added.
However, some local passenger trains for Sunday have been cancelled for restoration work, the CPRO said.
