Joint security forces on Friday claimed to have nabbed nine Maoist cadres from different location in Chhattisgarh, while a police personnel was injured in an encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand.
Chhattisgarh Police said, “In a joint operation carried out by Central Reserve Police Force and state police carried out raids at different locations and nabbed nine Maoist rebels.”
A senior CRPF officer said the joint teams on intelligence inputs raided at Maoist hideouts in Chintagufa forest, Kukanar forest and Dornapal forest. “Three rebels each were arrested from the raided locations,” said CRPF officer.
Police said the arrested people were active members of Maoists’ militia, village committees and Dandakaranya Adivasi Kisan Mazdor Sangthan. “The arrested were wanted by the state police for various incidents,” said a senior police officer.
