In a gruesome incident, a man on Wednesday committed suicide after stabbing girl in an alleged one-sided love affair in Bairanpoori village of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.

Kamal Singh, 20, jumped off from 120-foot phone tower after stabbing lover who denied his marriage proposal, according to reports.

As per further reports, Kamal had gone to meet his sister and brother-in-law. He had one-sided affection for the girl, who also happens younger sister to his brother-in-law, and pursued her to marry him.

But, when the girl denied his proposal, he stabbed her with sharp-edged knife and left her in pool of blood.

Later, Kamal climbed the phone tower and jumped off to death. Kamal’s kin had tried to convince him not to take the extreme step, but all went to vain.

The girl was taken to hospital where her condition is stated to be critical.
