Chhattisgarh: Six Maoists killed by security forces in operation 'Prahaar 2', arms recovered

In a security operation named, Prahaar 2, six bodies of Maoists with uniforms were recovered after two different incidents of clashes in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district on Tuesday.

Security forces have also recovered ammunition and other material from the six Naxals killed on Tuesday.

According to senior police officials this operation involves over 2,000 security personnel and started in every district of the state on Monday.

D M Awasthi, Special DG (Anti Naxal Operations), said, “These operations were launched by the state police, CRPF, DRG, STF and other paramilitary (forces) Monday evening across Sukma, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Kanker and Bastar… operations will last at least till Wednesday.”
