Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who is the Congress candidate from Maharashtra for the biennial elections to Rajya Sabha, will file his nomination papers on Tuesday. “Chidambaram will file his nomination form at Vidhan Bhawan here tomorrow,” state Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant said.

Congress and NCP candidates for the state Legislative Council elections too will file papers on Tuesday, Sawant said. Seventy-year-old Chidambaram did not contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections while his son Karti unsuccessfully fought from his native Sivaganga constituency in Tamil Nadu.
