West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday accused the BJP and RSS workers of trying to inflict a communal riot in the state by secretly throwing a a meat piece in religious places during an administrative meeting in Jhargram.
“RSS and BJP are giving money to throw meat in temples and mosques. It is a conspiracy, an attempt to inflict communal violence in the state,” said Banerjee.
She also asserted that BJP and RSS are doing it to start riot between the two communities in the state. “I am sure they will play the same trick during Ram Navami,” she added.
“I do not need to see who is Hindu and who is Muslim. An offender is an offender,” she added.

The West Bengal chief minister further added that she mentioned BJP and RSS in particular because party workers of saffron party did the act in North 24 Parganas. “I am mentioning their name because they did it twice. Police have arrested several of RSS-BJP workers in connection to the Habra incident,” added Banerjee.
The Trinamool Congress chief also directed the police to be alert during Ram Navami. She has instructed the West Bengal police to form community development committees to every locality to keep an eye on mischief mongers/
“If someone catches people throwing meat in temples or mosques they will be awarded,” added Banerjee.
