Nation pays tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary

Nation on Tuesday paid tribute India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his 128th birth anniversary. Former President Pranab Mukherjee and Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at his memorial Shanti Van in New Delhi early in the morning.

Born in Allahabad in 1889, Pandit Nehru was a favourite amongst children, which is why his birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day in India.
