Class IX student commits suicide after father refuses to buy smart phone

A minor staying in Mandi area in Madhya Pradesh allegedly committed suicide after his father ‘refused’ to buy him a smart phone, police said on Saturday.

Investigations revealed that the boy, a class IX student asked his father to buy him a smart phone on Friday.

However, after his father told him that he will do so after he gets money, the boy went to his room and hanged himself, the officer said.

The bereaved family informed police about the incident this morning, Gujjar said.
