The elite commando force of the CRPF, CoBRA, which has been regularly alleged of human rights violation by activists in Jharkhand, since its deployment to counter Maoist rebels, again showed a human side of the troop proving their motto to serve the mankind and motherland.
A company of CoBRA troopers were returning to its state headquarters in Khunti after a week long combing operation from jungles of Latehar — a highly Maoist infested district of state. Maoists in 2013 had surgically implanted a IED in a CRPF troopers abdomen — when they sighted a youth lying in pool of blood crying for help on the Ranchi-Khunti road on Wednesday late evening.
In the official twitter handle of CoBRA 209 the paramilitary tweeted, “Warriors of 209 #CoBRA #CRPF rescued the victim of #RoadAccident in #Jharkhand  #Samaritan continues the service to #Mankind & #Motherland.â€
A deputy commandant rank officer of CoBRA said, “We serve the mankind and motherland. We have been posted in Jharkhand to save people. It was our duty to save the youth.â€

A CoBRA trooper told News Nation that the team was completely exhausted after extensive combing operation at Latehar jungle but still they decided to help the critically injured youth you met with the road accident.
The CoBRA troopers of Battalion 209 provided first aid to the injured youth and shifted him to the Khunti district hospital for further medical attention.
According to doctors, the youth could have lost his life due to excessive bleeding if he had not been provided with first aid on time.
