Police have arrested the trainer of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), identified as R Arumugam, for allegedly pushing the student following a complaint by the victim’s father.

However, the NDMA distanced itself from the incident and said that the trainer was not authorised by it to conduct the exercise.

“The National Disaster Management Authority wasn’t involved in this drill. The trainer wasn’t authorized by NDMA to conduct such a drill,” the NDMA said in a tweet.
