On the day RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav organised ‘BJP bhagao desh bachao’ rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna to show the unity of opposition parties, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi was conspicuous by his absence even as big leaders such as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav and Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and CP Joshi marked their presence.Â
To make for his absence, Rahul Gandhi sent a message conveying his support to the rally.Â
