The death count in India has reached 6 due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the country. The 6th death was reported from Bihar where a 38-year-old man lost his life on Saturday due to the coronavirus. News Nation has got information that a man, who had recently returned from Qatar, passed away during the treatment in Patna’s AIIMS. The man hailed from Bihar’s Munger district. Importantly, this is the first death reported in Bihar due to coronavirus.
Earlier in the day, the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Government ordered shutting down of bus services, restaurants and banquet halls across the state till March 31 to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
Recently, a 63-year-old patient lost his life in a private hospital in Mumbai. The patient had a chronic history of diabetes, high blood pressure, and ischemic heart disease. He developed acute respiratory distress syndrome. Importantly, this is a second death reported in Maharashtra due to coronavirus.
It is to be noted that the first confirmed positive case for coronavirus was reported on January 30 in Kerala. And now, the positive cases for coronavirus in India has reached to 324. According to a recent report from Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra has reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 63, including three foreigners, followed by Kerala at 52 including seven foreign nationals.
The Union Health Ministry further said, "Delhi has reported 27 positive cases, which include one foreigner, while Uttar Pradesh has recorded 25 cases, including one foreigner. Telangana has reported 21 cases, including 11 foreigners. Rajasthan has reported 24 cases, including two foreigners."
"In Haryana, there are 17 cases, which include 14 foreigners. Karnataka has 20 coronavirus patients. Punjab and Ladakh have 13 cases each. Gujarat has 14 cases while Tamil Nadu has 6 cases which includes 2 foreigners. Chandigarh has five cases. Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal reported four cases each. Andhra Pradesh and Uttarakhand have reported three cases each. Odisha and Himachal Pradesh reported 2 cases each. Puducherry and Chhattisgarh have reported one case each," the Ministry added.

It is worth mentioning here that the novel coronavirus, which originated in China, has claimed thousands of lives across the world. With no known cure so far for the coronavirus, the deadly disease has become a major issue for the entire world.
